Tata Docomo: Forgot your Password AGAIN???

On an average, any person has two e-mail ids, two social networking sites accounts, two tele-banking passwords, two internet banking passwords, two ATM passwords, one laptop password, one for your mobile phone, and a million more when it comes to protecting a folder or a file. Not to mention the combination lock on your locker, door, etc. making it a stupendous 10 plus passwords to remember!

And one doesn’t have the luxury of forgetting any of them, for, if you did manage to forget any of these passwords, what will you do?

Well, there is always the "Forgot Password" option. But what if you are not one of those patient types who can wait for two days to get the new/old password in your email? And, what if you forget which secondary email id you had used while setting up that account?

Fear not. At Tata Teleservices we understand you are busy and remembering more than ten passwords is not an easy task! Therefore, we are there to help you anytime you call in with your request for a new password.

Every time you call our toll free customer care number 121 from your Tata Indicom number to reset your My Account password, we take just a few minutes and our customer care representative will give you an unique system generated four digit numeric password. This new password will be sent to you via SMS as well. You can use the same to log into your My Account on the website.

However, to keep your account secure, some safety measures have been taken. With the new password reset facility, you will have to log into your account within 48 hours of the new password generation, and secondly, when you login with this new password, you will have to change your password personally as a mandatory act.

The password must be strong enough to make it difficult for anyone to crack, so it must be alpha-numeric in nature. Alpha-numeric passwords should have at least 8 characters and must contain at least one symbol, one number and a letter in upper case along with other characters, e.g. Greatday@1two3

As a precaution, you should never make a note of your password and leave it lying around. Once memorized, you should delete it from any physical records.

Avoid having predictable passwords like your date of birth, spouses’ name, etc. Try something that suits your personality, is secure, yet easy for you to remember.

However, in case a day comes when you indeed forget you My Account password, give us a few minutes and we will get you a new one!
